| Description: AIDE (Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment) is a free replacement for Tripwire. It does the same things as the semi-free Tripwire and more. There are other free replacements available so why build a new one? All the other replacements do not achieve the level of Tripwire. And I wanted a program that would exceed the limitations of Tripwire. It creates a database from the regular expression rules that it finds from the config file. Once this database is initialized it can be used to verify the integrity of the files. It has several message digest algorithms (md5,sha1,rmd160,tiger,haval,etc.) that are used to check the integrity of the file. More algorithms can be added with relative ease. All of the usual file attributes can also be checked for inconsistencies. It can read databases from older or newer versions. | | Last Modified: 2008-09-24 10:05:50 | | Checksum: d793ef61dbea9ada3f495ea8d15c7c5e |

| Description: The Linux Intrusion Detection System (LIDS) is a kernel patch and admin tools which enhances the kernel's security by implementing Mandatory Access Control (MAC). When it is in effect, chosen file access, all system network administration operations, any capability use, raw device, memory, and I/O access can be made impossible even for root. You can define which programs can access specific files. It uses and extends the system capabilities bounding set to control the whole system and adds some network and filesystem security features to the kernel to enhance the security. You can finely tune the security protections online, hide sensitive processes, receive security alerts through the network, and more. LIDS currently support kernel 2.6, 2.4. LIDS is released under GPL. This particular package is for the 2.4 kernels. | | Last Modified: 2008-09-24 10:05:50 | | Site: http://www.lids.org | | Checksum: ad081d2893b18d8ad51698c839337698 |

| Description: Network Security Policy Compiler (NetSPoC) is a tool for security management of large networks with different security domains. It generates configuration files for packet filters controlling the borders of security domains. It provides its own language for describing security policy and the topology of a network. The security policy is a set of rules that state which packets are allowed to pass the network and which are not. NetSPoC is topology aware - a rule for traffic from A to B is automatically applied to all managed packet filters on the path from A to B. | | Last Modified: 2008-09-24 10:05:50 | | Checksum: 164a21895f8736dab8920331faff4ec9 |

| Description: Port Scan Attack Detector (psad) is a program written in Perl that is designed to work with Linux firewalling code (iptables in the 2.4.x kernels, and ipchains in the 2.2.x kernels) to detect port scans. It features a set of highly configurable danger thresholds (with sensible defaults provided), verbose alert messages that include the source, destination, scanned port range, begin and end times, TCP flags and corresponding nmap options (Linux 2.4.x kernels only), email alerting, and automatic blocking of offending IP addresses via dynamic configuration of ipchains and iptables firewall rulesets. In addition, for the 2.4.x kernels psad incorporates many of the TCP signatures included in Snort to detect highly suspect scans for various backdoor programs (e.g. EvilFTP, GirlFriend, SubSeven), DDoS tools (mstream, shaft), and advanced port scans (syn, fin, Xmas) which are easily leveraged against a machine via nmap. | | Last Modified: 2008-09-24 10:05:50 | | Checksum: 3608f0e66ea8244b793d8bbd367087a7 |

| Description: E-Wireless is an Enlightenment epplet that will monitor the signal quality of an 802.11-compliant wireless networking card. It displays the results as a scrolling line graph, as well as numerically. While it is still in development, it's somewhat stable. The code is based in large part on E-CpuX. | | Last Modified: 2008-09-24 10:05:50 | | Checksum: 03e3a5e2c7b94d96591a2775f77c4b9f |

| Description: A 802.11b network sniffer and network dissector. It is capable of sniffing using most wireless cards, automatic network IP block detection via UDP, ARP, and DHCP packets, Cisco equipment lists via Cisco Discovery Protocol, weak cryptographic packet logging, and Ethereal and tcpdump compatible packet dump files. It also includes the ability to plot detected networks and estimated network ranges on downloaded maps or user supplied image files. | | Last Modified: 2008-09-24 10:05:50 | | Checksum: 53ad75990da509714b1cedcd635dd151 |

| Description: Wellenreiter is a GTK/Perl program that makes the discovery and the auditing of 802.11b wireless-networks much easier. It has an embedded statistics engine for the common parameters provided by the wireless drivers, enabling you to view details about the consistency and signal strength of the network. A scanner window can be used to discover access-points, networks, and ad-hoc cards. It detects essid broadcasting or non-broadcasting networks in every channel, automatically switching frequencies. Wellenreiter can run on low-resolution devices that can run GTK/Perl and Linux/BSD (such as iPaqs). | | Last Modified: 2008-09-24 10:05:50 | | Checksum: c48645b910d347092de5944265c8c5b9 | >>> /internal/security/wordlists
